Alaska Hunting Guides

At Southeast Alaska Guiding, we specialize in individual big game hunts in the southeastern
part of Alaska. All trips are boat based hunts for trophy sized Brown Bears, Black Bears and
Mountain Goats. To provide for the utmost success and quality of your guided hunt we allow
only two hunters per trip only.
Hunting in our great state of Alaska is a way of life. We have been involved in big game hunting
activities our whole lives and would like to pass our knowledge on to you. Our small team of
guides have been working together for years and are familiar with all of Alaska's hunting
regulations, have in depth knowledge about the big game species they guide you for and know
the terrain they hunt in like the back of their hands. Decades of knowledge and experience will
be passed hands on to you in the field like judging big game trophies and how to maximize
your chances in finding one and how to stalk and take your trophy animal. Our southeast
alaskan hunts include Brown Bear hunts in unit 4 on Admiralty Island National Monument and
unit 1C in the southeastern Coastal Mountain Range. Admiralty Island is known to have the
highest brown bear density in the world.
Our late season mountain goat hunts in the scenic wild glacial landscape of the Fords Terror
Tracy Arm Wilderness are the best in the world. Our small team have been professional hunting
guides for many decades and know the mountains and valleys they hunt by heart. Leave it to
us to lead you on the right paths to find your trophy.
If you need help or have questions about any of our fully guided hunts call or email me
anytime.

"I have been guiding in Southeast Alaska since 1978 for over 45 years and would love to
share our hospitality and expertise with you in helping to secure that big game trophy of
a lifetime. The most effective way of hunting S.E. Alaska's coastal wilderness is by boat.
Aboard our spacious 50-foot Motor Vessel "Northern Star" and 45-foot “Sally Girl” you
can enjoy home cooked meals, hot showers and comfortable bunks after a hard day
hunting in the field." - Hans Baertle
